WHAT STANDS IN THE WAY

of your team performing at peak potential? How do the best leaders forge robust, productive connections with their teams?

DR. DAVE STRIEGEL

Dr. Dave Striegel’s unique background, with a Ph.D. in sport psychology, coupled with his highly engaging, no-nonsense communication style have led to over 25 years of success as a performance coach, consultant and speaker. He has worked with individuals and organizations including professional and elite amateur athletes, Fortune 500 executives, business owners, doctors, top educators and law enforcement specialists. A sampling of his client list includes executives from Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney, athletes on the PGA, LPGA, ATP & WTA Tours, MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL and US Ski Team as well as members of FBI Hostage Rescue Teams and the military's Special Forces.

While the concepts and principles Dr. Dave teaches apply to anyone wishing to improve their performance, he specializes in helping highly motivated, highly focused clients and their teams learn to thrive under the pressure that accompanies pursuing greatness in their chosen field. He transfers the critical meaning and lessons from his work with high level athletes and executives into terms that anyone wanting to enhance performance can apply immediately to their businesses and their own lives.

In addition to speaking, Dr. Dave regularly coaches corporate executives and business owners to implement the principles he teaches in his courses. This experience has enabled Dr. Dave to successfully target a nearly universal frustration leaders face in running their businesses: elevating team performance while enhancing profit.

Dr. Dave's speaking style is dynamic and motivational and engenders confidence and trust. His gift is his ability to filter the noise we all hear constantly in our personal and professional lives that keeps us from pursuing excellence. He transfers the critical meaning and lessons from his work with high level performers into terms that anyone wanting to enhance performance will remember and be able to apply immediately in their lives.

“How did you get here from there?!”

“There” is graduating nearly 25 years ago with a Ph.D. in Sport Psychology, so I could pursue a career working with elite athletes helping them learn to maximize performance under pressure. I was blessed to have been able to do just that for more than a decade.

A funny thing happened along the way. I learned that the very same concepts and principles I was using to coach some of the world’s most talented athletes and performers work beautifully with people in virtually every other walk of professional life. It doesn’t matter the venue: the skills gleaned from high level sports apply.

In the years since, I have had the privilege to work with professionals in many different professional arenas and have been immersed specifically in the world of dentistry. How? I reconnected with a long-time friend and mentor, Rob Flintom, CEO/Owner of Practice Enhancement Group, a financial performance firm specializing in dental practices. Rob asked me to help coach him through a major transition in his company’s evolution. During the process, we realized that what I do with athletes and other high performing business leaders applies to dentists and their teams wishing to push the boundaries of excellence.

I’ve since worked with hundreds of dental practices as well as other healthcare, business and legal professionals. And I have even managed to stay involved in the highest levels of sport, a true love of mine.
